The January Challenge is 31 days of quick, fun and free creative prompts to spark imagination and connection in the darkest and coldest days of the year. Each creative prompt is designed by different people and communities across the UK – this includes Gloucester Community Building Collective (pictured right) who have designed 3 creative prompts for you to take part in!

β In the full pack PDF there are lots of hints and tips on how to use the prompts in different settings. Take some time to read through these.
2οΈ Starting Conversations π¬
β The aim of this project is to understand what matters to people in relation to arts and culture in Gloucester.
β Use prompts as a starting point to widen the conversation.
β Ask people about:
β Cultural things they love in their city
β What they like to go and see or do
β What they would like more of in Gloucester
β Capture what people share β their ideas will help feed into the Together Gloucester programme.
3οΈ Capturing & Sharing πΌοΈ
β Take photos of participantsβ work (with consent).
β Upload to Padlet with:
β Prompt title
β Short line about what someone shared (e.g., where they like to get creative in Gloucester)
β Here is a link to a shared document where you can log anything interesting people share about their desires for culture in Gloucester.
β This does not need to be long β brief notes are perfect.
β If you prefer not to use the shared document, you can:
β Email your notes
β Share them via WhatsApp

β There is a folder of social media images for all 32 prompts that can be used throughout January for posts.
